Watercraft Decontamination Inspection Stewards engage with the boating community, electronically enter watercraft-user information on mobile tablets, decontaminate watercraft, and issue certificates of decontamination, and familiarize the public with aquatic invasive species information. All stewards conduct watercraft inspection, identify invasive species, and inform the public about ways in which they can help prevent their further spread and establishment into new waterways. Stewards will receive training on boat decontamination, inclusive of operating high pressure hot water decontamination units (power washers), setting up, maintaining, breaking down, and storing not only the work site tools and collateral but the decontamination units on a daily basis.

The Town of Forestport Highway Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator. Applicants must possess a valid CDL license with a Class B certification and be able to pass a drug screening. Mechanical knowledge is a plus. Salary is based on experience, with excellent benefits and paid time off, along with retirement.
