Youth Programs

The Forestport Youth Recreation Program strives to provide engaging educational and physical fitness opportunities for the children of Forestport. Some of our seasonal activities include:

Outdoor Nature Club – Kids gather at the Forestport Town Hall during the summer months Fridays from 3pm-5pm under the direction of Ash Fletcher and Jessica Huebner to leave technology behind and explore the exciting outdoor world around us! Contact Ash or Jessica at 315-316-2741 or 315-327-5661 for more information.

Summer STEM Program – Kids ages 7-13 gather at the Woodgate Schoolhouse for five weeks in the summer to take part in science, math, and technology-based activities, in addition to outdoor adventures three days a week, three hours per day.

Ski Programs –

  • Children ages 7-17 are invited to learn to downhill ski at McCauley Mountain under the direction of TJ Entwistle and the McCauley Mountain Ski School. Lift tickets, ski rentals and lessons are included at no cost to parents.
  • Intermediate ski programs – Semi experienced skiers ages 7-17 with their own equipment have the opportunity to explore other ski areas in a supervised setting. Contact TJ Entwistle at 315-796-5590 for more information.
